The honest answers
What parents ask us first.
The questions every parent asks before they book, answered without the sales pitch.
Is it safe for a teenager to lift weights?
Current youth-strength guidance supports appropriately designed and supervised resistance training. We use age-appropriate progressions, technique first, and no maximal lifting.
What age can my child start?
We coach juniors from 10 to 18. Younger athletes spend most of their time on movement quality, coordination and bodyweight strength, and load only comes once the movement is right. Every session is grouped and programmed by training age, not just birthday.
What does junior coaching cost?
The 6-Week Intro to S&C is $649 and covers one onboarding session plus two coached sessions a week for six weeks. After that, juniors move onto an ongoing membership and the full breakdown is on the pricing page.
My kid already trains with their club. Is this just more load?
We ask what their week actually looks like, then program around their sport and season. Strength work can be one useful part of preparation. We plan it around sport, school, growth, recovery, and the rest of the week, and we would rather pull back a Session than add one for the sake of it.
Will they be doing heavy barbell lifting?
Not on day one, and never for a one-rep max. They learn to move first, and load is added when the technique earns it. Plenty of what a junior does is speed, jumping, landing and bodyweight strength, which is what actually shows up on game day.
Can I stay and watch?
