The honest answers

What people ask before their first session.

The questions we get on the phone every week, answered straight.

I have never trained properly and gyms intimidate me. Is this for me?

You are exactly who we coach. Most people walk in nervous. You start with one-on-one onboarding, not a room full of strangers, so the first time you train on the floor you already know the movements, the coaches and where everything lives. Nobody here cares what anyone else is lifting.

Is this a class, or actual coaching?

Coaching. Sessions are semi-private and capped at 8 people, and a coach runs every single one. You follow a program written for your goals, not a workout everyone in the room does at once. That is the difference between being counted and being coached.

What does it cost to train at Virtus in Mornington?

It starts with a Free Intro, and that costs nothing. Thirty minutes with a coach to get clear on what winning looks like for you and how we can help. From there everyone does one-on-one onboarding, where a coach screens how you move, teaches you the lifts and writes your first program. After that, Strength & Conditioning memberships are $69 a week for two sessions, $82 unlimited, and $107 for unlimited plus a private session a month. Every price is on the pricing page, with no joining fee and no lock-in contract.

Will someone actually teach me how to lift?

Yes, and it is not optional. Onboarding is one-on-one with a coach who screens how you move, teaches you the lifts from the ground up, and builds your first program around what your body can do today. You will not touch a loaded barbell until you have earned it and want it.

How many times a week do I need to train?

Most members train two to four times a week. Sessions run 45 to 75 minutes and every minute is programmed, so you are in, coached and out. Two good sessions a week that you actually keep doing beat five that you quit in March.

I am not an athlete. Will I be out of place?

Our floor is parents, tradies, teachers, nurses, retirees and people coming back from an injury, training next to athletes. Everyone gets coached the same way, on their own program, at their own weights. Human first, athlete second.
