Choose your start

Two ways to begin.

Start on your schedule

Join ongoing Strength & Conditioning.

Start with a Free Intro and five one-to-one onboarding sessions. Your coach learns your starting point, teaches the key movements, and builds your program. Then you train in mixed Sessions of no more than eight, with a coach on the floor from start to finish.

Best for women ready to choose a time and begin on their own schedule.

Start together

Eight-week women's introduction.

A small-group path for women who would rather begin at the same point together. The current catalogue price is $799 for eight weeks.

Dates, Session schedule, capacity, inclusions, and coach are not confirmed yet.

Register your interest and a coach will contact you when the next intake details are real. Registering interest does not reserve a place or take payment.

What to expect

Coaching that meets you where you are.

Start privately

Learn the movements one to one before you enter an ongoing coached Session.

Train your program

You are not following the person beside you. Your exercises and loads reflect your starting point and goals.

Ask questions in the Session

The coach is there for the whole session, not checking in from the other side of the room.

Progress without the performance

Serious coaching does not require an intimidating room. Beginners, parents, athletes, and retirees train on the same floor at their own level.

Meet your coach

Maddy Morrison

Maddy coaches strength with clear instruction, patient progressions, and a calm floor presence. She explains why an exercise is in the program, teaches the skill in steps, and adjusts it to the person in front of her.

The honest answers

What women ask us first.

Straight answers about starting, the ongoing floor, and the eight-week introduction.

I have never lifted weights. Where do I start?

You can start one to one or register for the next women's introduction. In either path, a coach teaches the movements before expecting you to know them.

Is Virtus a women's-only gym?

No. Sessions are mixed, and about half the floor is women. If beginning with a female coach or a women's intake would make the first step easier, choose that path.

Is strength training suitable in my 40s, 50s, 60s or beyond?

Properly prescribed and supervised strength training can support muscle strength, physical function, and bone health across adult life. The right starting point depends on you. If you have a condition, pain, or clinical question, speak with an appropriate health professional as well as your coach.

What does ongoing coaching cost?

After the Free Intro, standard onboarding is five one-to-one sessions for $599. S&C memberships are currently $69 a week for two Sessions, $82 for unlimited Sessions, or $107 for unlimited Sessions plus a monthly private session. See the pricing page for the current catalogue.

What does the eight-week introduction cost?

The current catalogue price is $799 for eight weeks. Dates, Session schedule, capacity, inclusions, and coach are not confirmed yet. We will publish those details before registrations open.

Should I get fit before I start?

No. Learning how to train and building fitness are part of the service. Start where you are.
