I'm ready to go in coach, just give me a chance. I know there's a lot riding on it but it's all psychological. I've just got to stay in a positive frame of mind. Alright Edward, welcome to Quick Fire 30. Hello. Just a bit of a get to know Ed. We've just done the pod. It's pretty bloody good. I enjoyed it. We'll let the audience decide. Bit of value there I find. Bit of value. So here we go. You ready? Ready. Any nicknames? Dward. Dward? Yeah. I don't understand. Ed Dward. D-W-A-R-D. I guess it makes sense. Any more?

Just what? Kristy calls me mush, which I love. Mush. Oh, mush cause you're so soft and cuddly. Yeah, bit of... Oh, favorite food? I love a bit of zambreros. Oh mate, I've been smashing zambreros lately. What's your go to? I love getting the soft tacos are amazing but if I'm going like, if I'm really hungry I'll get a double meat something burrito. Oh, love you. Have you had a dos capas? No. So it's a hard taco with a soft taco wrapped underneath. Don't know how I feel about that. It's actually amazing. Yeah, so I just, I either want one or the other.

Nah, but try it. Don't trust you, but alright. Favorite movies? Ooh, Peanut Butter Falcon. Oh, how good. The best movie I've seen by a mile. It just feels good, hey? By a mile, geez. No, by like 100%. I've not watched a movie that good ever. Yeah, Shia. Huh? Good. Yeah, no, but it's not that. It's just like the filmmaking is fucking on point. The story is amazing. I have some movies for you. It's so nice to have a movie. I know that I'm going over my time limit, but it's so nice to have a movie that isn't like the world's ending, but like it has, it has so much weight to it.

Like the colors of it were like stunning. I couldn't figure out what camera they shot it on and like they shot on this camera. That's just like pretty unsuspecting. I was like, what the fuck? And then just like, I don't know, just the imagery. Yeah, color grade really well. Yeah, it was, but like, I don't know what it was about it. I was like, if, and I said, I posted a story about it when I watched it. I said, if I could make something one 10th as good as this, I would consider myself like, I mean, don't sell yourself short.

It was absolutely fantastic. You're looking for like a good watch. It's just like, yep. Peanut butter fucker. You'll cry, but good crying. It's glorious. Favorite music? Love Lord Heron at the moment. I just can't stop smashing him. I told Chris the other day, they're going to be album that I listened to with our kids and they're like, oh fucking hell here we go. Dad, just stop it. Dad's on it again. What was the album you listened to with your folks? Did you have one? Dad loved the Rolling Stones. So like whenever they come on, it's like, I remember sitting in the back car with dad, you know, and he loved a bit of Bruce Springsteen as well.

Classic six star male. Cause you know, the CD players in the car, you remember that? Like I remember like Queen, I know it's not my quick five 30, but Queen, Supertramp, like those kind of bands. So Fleetwood Mac. Oh, uh, favorite books? Business books. I love Profit First. That was a big one for me. Um, after your suggestion. I have shilled that so many people. Ray Dalio. I'm going to like overlap with so many of yours, but a lot of them were your suggestions. Principles by Ray Dalio was just business and life. Fucking amazing book. And Alex Homosie's a hundred million dollar sales is like, if you need to learn more about sales and understand it, fantastic book.

It's just no bullshit. Favorite potties? I don't really do podcasts. No, just audio book person for sure. Audio books. Are you like a YouTube, like learn off YouTube kind of, kind of guy? Yeah. Typically. Yeah. But like, um, yeah. Yeah. But I usually do audio books cause the knowledge I want is pretty specific. So I don't really podcasts unless there's someone I know on it. Like I tune into your own every so often, but I've just never been a big podcast listening. Like I'll listen to my friends' ones, but I don't have like, Listen to the ones that you feature on, right?

Just a bit of self. No, I hate my own voice. Me too. All right. Coming over for dinner. What are you cooking me? I make a really fucking mean fried chicken burger. Yeah. A hundred percent. What kind of, what kind of bun? It'd be nice brioche. Yeah. Brioche. Yeah. Good. Uh, pick three people to join us. Who's coming? Alex. And I just think he's fascinating. Yeah. Um, he just decided that he wanted to be big. Yeah. A hundred percent. And I can't say he's doing anything wrong at the moment. He's pretty smart. Um, I would love to get the filmmaker from peanut butter falcon.

Not even shooting. Like I'd fucking, I would just binge whatever he is. I got no idea. I've got to find him. You're a disgrace. And three, my grandpa didn't get to spend enough time with him. He passed away when I was quite young and I've been thinking about him recently a bit. Lovely peanut butter falcon, Tyler Nelson and Michael Schwartz. There you go. Directors, two directors, a great movie. So good. Um, all right. Favorite place in the world. So not necessarily. So we'll get to dream travel destination next, but favorite place in the world. I just love the peninsula dude.

We're so lucky. I would have to say part of it. If you, if you could be in one, if you need, I love to be in one spot in one spot. Um, probably Cape shank and Bush ranges Bay, but I like it most when I'm there by myself. Quite often I will hike down with Christie at sunset cause everybody Chrissy. I'll see you later. Huh? It doesn't want you there. You said by yourself. Oh no, by myself. But she'll come with me sometimes. But I mean like she can come by ourselves. So like it is, I just, I just like being alone in nature in terms of like not 10,000 people on the beach next to you.

So like we hike down there at sunset sometimes and it's just, it's just us. We are spoiled on the peninsula with many spots like that that get ruined at certain times of the year. So you just got to pick your pick your time. Even in summer people don't want to hike back in the dark. I understand it because it's a bit of a walk in the dark. So you go there by it's just amazing watching the sunset down there. Beautiful. Dream travel destination. Um, I really want to go through Canada like just cause that's like a photographer's dream.

But also like I'd love to do Africa, but anywhere in particular. I'd honestly just want to go, I'd rather want to go central where it's a little bit less like, uh, Westernized. Um, cause I just think there's amazing sort of richness of culture there that hasn't been tarnished in terms of, it hasn't been influenced by Western culture too much. So I'd just love to say that. Beautiful. If you could teach everyone in the world one thing, what would it be? Patience. Good. Perfect day off. What does it look like? Uh, with Chrissy just hanging about at home.

There's been something absolutely loving recently. It's like chilling out on the couch watching movies and just, you know, yeah. Beautiful. First car was my Mazda three, which I still have. Oh, that's pretty good. First job. I was doing property maintenance. Property maintenance. Yeah. Jesus. One of mum's friends. First boarding team. Red Hill under tens footy. Yes. The Hillman. You're a Hillman. How about that? First concert. Johnny Farnham. Was he, he's like final tour. He's one of the seventh final tour. Um, dream concert. Later on, obviously. Cute. What's your pet hate? Uh, I hate when my own feelings influence what I'm doing too much.

I think I give too, too much weight to my own thoughts sometimes. For what teams and sports do you follow? You know, I don't follow any sports. I don't dislike sports. It's just never been something that interested me to sit down and watch sports. I would rather, I would, especially on TV, I'd rather just go to the MCG. There's like atmosphere and you can feel it a bit more, but like sitting at home watching TV is not for me. I would almost like, I love going themes a day, but I would prefer like once a year is enough for me.

I'd prefer to sit there, watch on TV and see all the things. When have you failed and learned from it? Um, probably failed was like just listening to someone, everyone else too much in terms of what I should do with my career and my life. And I learned from that, that you need to reflect upon yourself and that it's your life and you've got to navigate it the way that you want to. But don't pay too much attention to your thoughts. Yes. A fun balance. Yes. Good. What did you want to be when you were a kid?

I literally didn't know. No idea. Yep. Worst habit? Probably procrastinating, like mental masturbation procrastinating and like I'm, I'm, I'm learning, but like you just avoiding work. What do you wish everyone knew about your profession? That's not just pushing a button. It's not just, just point and shoot. What are the two most used apps on your phone? Uh, Instagram and probably email, Gmail. Most controversial opinion. Oh God, I'm going to seem real vanilla here. I don't really know. I was thinking about that on the way over. Um, are you a listener? How good's that? No, I love you quick fires.

Attention span things. I'm just not on podcast apps, so I don't like, but when it's on your social or on YouTube now, so get around it. No, I commented. Remember? I know you did. Um, wait, controversial opinion. Um, I think it's, you're not your thoughts in today's day and age. It's not that controversial. Well, I think some people, give us something that'll like give people to fire up the pitchforks. I really don't have anything. I'm so based in my work and all that. I don't really do politics and all that. What are you currently listening to?

Lord Heron. Um, audio books would be audio books. Yeah. Chilling through. I'm bouncing between principles again for like the eighth time and a hundred million dollar offers. Yeah. Nice. What do you suck at? Uh, being patient with myself. What's your favorite quote? I don't really have one. I don't do quotes too much. Do you have a morning routine? No, I think they're stupid. Yeah, me too. Most impactful piece of advice that you have either been given or, or give often. I don't, I'm going to paraphrase heavily, but it's like pretty much just do the work. I don't know who said it, but just like I remember good Steven Pressfield book.

If you need a little kick up the bomb, maybe that was it. But it's just like, yeah, just do the thing. Stop. And that's what I'm talking about with like the thoughts thing. Just do the thing. Why are you a photographer slash videographer slash documentary maker slash King of content gives me more fulfillment than anything that I've found professionally. I would say no, I would say it gives me the most fulfillment I've ever had in my life until Christie. Oh, it's not that it ain't good. Hey babe, I need you to watch this episode. I mentioned, who in your world would make a great guest for this podcast?

If you could get her to open up Christie cause she's extremely smart and extremely emotionally intelligent and she's had a, she's had a life that's worth talking about. And plus she's a business owner and she's, she doesn't write herself enough, but she's a very good business owner. So any girls out there when you make up them, she's like the best makeup artist on potentially. She'll never say that, but she is. Good for me. And then Simon Cooper. Yuck. He's fascinating. He is. I love him. All right. Last question. What happens when we die? Not much. Good chat.

Nobody knows. Been an absolute pleasure. That's Edward.

The podcast is the philosophy. The floor is where it happens.
