Inside Virtus

INTERN SPOTLIGHT: NAT CARTWRIGHT

Written by the Virtus coaching team

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO SPEND 12 WEEKS WITH THE VIRTUS FAMILY?

I have chosen to spend 12 weeks with Virtus to gain exposure in a new environment and work together with the other coaches and community to improve on my practical skills and advance my knowledge regarding both group training and athletic development settings.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?

Well, I did want to be famous but that never happened. So, the goal now is a high-performance coach and then work towards being a Physiotherapist.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

Having clear goals set for ambitions that I have, to either better myself and/or others alongside a colourful and organised schedule.

WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS AS A PERSON?

I am an approachable and friendly person which adds to my strong rapport building with others. This also is a strength for myself from a coaching perspective alongside my genuine interest in assisting others to achieve their goals and improve overall athletic abilities.

WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST STRETCHES AS A PERSON AND AS A COACH?

Sometimes I tend to overthink situations too much and doubt myself as a result. As a coach, my biggest stretches would be removing that doubt when it comes to being confident in my decisions.
