Our onboarding is centered around answering 4 big questions.

What does winning/ success/ progress look like?


Winning isn’t just about how much you can lift or how fast you can run.
It’s about having the energy to play with your kids, the confidence to back yourself at work, and the strength to do the things that make life good.
You’ll learn how to move well, build habits that last, and create momentum that carries into every part of your life.

What do we need to be good or better at?


To live well, we need to manage our bodies, our energy, and our mindset.
That means mastering the basics: movement, recovery, nutrition, and consistency, so you can handle whatever life throws at you.
Through structured sessions and real-world coaching, you’ll build physical and mental resilience that serves you far beyond the gym walls.

What do we need to do?

We get clear on what needs to happen each day/each week to move you towards your goals.
We’ll guide you, help you build routines that make training and life complement each other, not compete.
Every session, every conversation, every small action adds up. That’s how you get stronger, clearer, and more capable over time.

At Virtus Performance, we believe in laying a solid foundation for your fitness journey. Our structured onboarding process consists of five personalized sessions designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to train effectively and safely. Each session focuses on different aspects of strength and conditioning, ensuring you’re well-prepared to achieve your goals.


Every Onboarding is unique.


We tailor each session to your goals, experience, and lifestyle so that by the end, you know exactly what you need to do to get where you want to go.

These five sessions are where your foundation is built, physically, mentally, and habitually, to make sure your success at Virtus lasts.


Session 1: Move Well, Feel Better, Understand Your Body

We start with a deep dive into how your body moves and what it needs to perform at its best.
Through our movement screen and correctives, we’ll uncover your strengths, limitations, and opportunities for growth.
You’ll learn the basics of quality movement — breathing, mobility, and control — and begin building the daily habits that keep you pain-free and capable.



Why it matters:
Most people jump straight into training without knowing how their body actually moves. This is where you learn to train safely, build awareness, and lay the foundation for long-term progress.

Session 2: Technique Fundamentals

Now that we know how you move, it is time to learn how to train.
We coach you through the fundamental movement patterns: hinge, squat, press, and carry, while teaching you how to use equipment, structure your sessions, and recover well.
Each movement is coached with intent, helping you build strength with purpose and confidence.


Why it matters:
This is where strength starts. You develop technical skill, confidence under load, and the ability to train consistently without fear of injury.

Session 3: Connect Lifestyle and Performance

Training is only one piece of the puzzle.
This session expands the focus to your recovery, nutrition, sleep, stress, and daily habits. We complete your Lifestyle Assessment and Holistic Wellness Scale to identify what is helping or holding you back.
Together we create a 90-day plan and simple daily actions to build momentum toward your goals.



Why it matters:
Results come from alignment. By connecting what you do in the gym with how you live outside it, you will start feeling better, recovering faster, and performing at your best in every area of life.

Session 4: Integrate and Elevate

We bring everything together and put it into practice.
You refine your key lifts, learn advanced patterning, and gain confidence moving through a complete session.
Depending on your goals and progress, we may also begin the testing process to measure how you are tracking and identify what to focus on next.
You are introduced to the community through your Ghost Session, a coached, in-class experience designed to help you feel at home in the Virtus environment.



Why it matters:
Confidence comes from competence. You finish this session ready to train independently within the Virtus system, surrounded by people who will push you to grow, with clarity on where you are and what comes next.

Session 5: building your success Plan

Your final session is all about direction.

We look at the big picture, where you are now, what success looks like, and the path ahead. Together we decide what the next few months will look like and set you up for success as you transition into your Virtus membership. This is where we revisit the four key questions that drive everything we do:

What does winning look like?
What do we need to be better at?
What do we need to do?
How will we know?


Why it matters:
This is where everything comes together. You graduate from Onboarding with clarity, confidence, and a roadmap to success. You will know exactly what to focus on, what support is available, and what has to happen for you to succeed long term.
