First of all, congratulations, bravo, any words for the camera?
Woohoo, I've made it!! I am actually so stoked to be chosen for the October member spotlight, it's a good feeling!
How has your decision to join Virtus improved your life?
Virtus has improved my life in so many ways, and so much more than just physically being stronger and moving better. Being around all the coaches at Virtus has helped and inspired me to be better in just day to day life and I?m really appreciative of that.
What do you enjoy most about your training at Virtus?
I enjoy the style of training, the variety of workouts, and the amazing people. I'm definitely moving a lot better, and feeling a lot stronger since.
What are the habits that you have adopted since joining Virtus?
Warming up! I've definitely noticed a massive change in by capabilities in each individual session since taking the time and doing a proper warm up.
What helps keep you on track with your goals?
Having someone to keep me accountable for my sessions, as well as having a friend to train with is not only motivating but great at keeping me on track.
What is one thing you have learnt since joining Virtus that has changed your life?
I can now do TWO unassisted pull ups. This may not seem big, but it was a massive achievement for myself and I was pretty damn happy. What I'm saying is, that Virtus has taught me not to give up. At the start of the year if you told me I'd be able to do 1 pull up by October I would've laughed in your face, but I've done it.
What was your first impression of Virtus Performance?
I remember the very first session I had at Virtus, it was a one on one with Mitch, he made me feel so comfortable, my nerves were completely at ease. There was no judgement, no competitiveness, just a warm and welcoming environment. I can be pretty awkward and quiet when first meeting people, but the fun and welcoming atmosphere helped me open up fairly fast!
What are you most excited about achieving in the next few months?
I am hoping to get my lower back, back to normal. I need to remember that rest days are good for the physical and mental health. Rest, rejuvenate, and recover!
What advice would you have for someone thinking of joining the Virtus Family?
DO IT! You won't regret it. What more could you want other than training somewhere everyday with such amazing people and facilities. Your body will thank you for it.
